Our partner entered the Tourism sector dynamically with FirstCLASS, a software system for the management, marketing and distribution of Travel and Tourism services. Using advanced state-of-the-art technology, open architecture and a user-friendly graphical interface (GUI), the system handles and executes reservations and transactions in real time, for a wide range of travel and tourism services (e.g. accommodation, airline tickets, car rentals, transportation, excursions, tourism packages, etc).

FirstCLASS fully satisfies the needs of the international travel and tourism industry by offering a very extensive menu of integrated services through a fully automated services provision, support and communication platform. The system is addressed to medium and large sized companies and organizations that offer Travel and Tourism services (e.g. large tour operators, travel agents, etc).

Covering the complete chain of values of the travel and tourism sector, FirstCLASS executes both business-to-business and business-to-consumer electronic transactions via a secure server. Moreover, it offers the possibility of building a website and dynamic web pages over the Internet based on the data and information already existing in the FirstCLASS database. Therefore, the system offers: secure access, automatically updated dynamic information, real-time information provision and transfer, promotion of marketing material, on-line promotional brochures, reservations management and monitoring, customer management integrated services, etc.

The system satisfies various demands, such as: distribution and management of travel & tourism products with or without intermediaries, management of suppliers, wholesalers, services providers and travel agents, financial monitoring of sales and commissions, keeping an updated record of customer information and data, etc. Moreover, the system supports product distribution based on the Provider to Agent hierarchy, where the distribution of contracted services to travel agents can be executed in various alternative ways. Additionally, the system features the possibility of products and services distribution directly to the end-consumer, either through a retailing network or via the Internet as a very advanced e-commerce application.

By offering automatic CRS connectivity for availability control and flight reservations, the system supports monitoring and management of practically all the procedures of a travel & tourism organization, either as an internal administrative information system or as a General Distribution System (GDS) of the offered services. FirstCLASS handles all travel-related activities, from inventory management to retailing, and from marketing to supply chain management.
